Data fields define the information Ion can collect, store, and use in experiences, rules, exports, and integrations.<\/p>\n

Open Data Collection<\/h2>\n

From the console, go to Data Management<\/strong> and select Data collection<\/strong>. The Data fields tab lists categories and the number of fields in each category.<\/p>\n

Create a field<\/h2>\n

  1. Open an existing category, or create a category with New data field category<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Select New data field<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Choose the category and enter a unique, friendly Title<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Optionally add a description, then enter the Data name<\/strong> used in the database.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the matching Autocomplete<\/strong> token. This is required for ADA support.<\/li>\n
  6. Choose the Data scope<\/strong>: Respondent for a single visit or User for a value that can persist across recognized visits.<\/li>\n
  7. Configure maximum length, validation pattern, default value, encryption, and automatic deletion as needed.<\/li>\n
  8. Save the field.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
